Even the tree in the playground has been destroyed.
Shame really, but I presume it is all for the sake of (so called) progress!
Always think it is a shame when a nice old building is demolished
ReplyDeleteDidn't know about that one at all and I usually notice empty buildings like that. Hope they saved some of the more elaborate carved blocks to be re-used somewhere else.

But I guess we can't keep everything - it's like turning out old Christmas cards, though if you keep 'em long enough they start to become too valuable to throw away - there's an interesting thought! At first, i thought your post was about the Highland clearances - something I've been reading a bit about recently.
